If you want to be respected as a listener, you need to develop the skill of empathetic listening.

It means trying to understand people both intellectually and emotionally.

According to experts in communication:

-The words we say account for just 10% of our communication. Just 10%!!!

-The sounds account for 30%.

-Our body language for 60%!

That's why it's so important to not just listen to the words.

We should attend to the feeling, behavior and meaning behind them.
