Choose YOUR PERFECT
This morning at the gym our barre fusion instructor told us something really genius “Choose your PERFECT.”
I used to be a perfectionist. What about YOU?
Are you a PERFECTIONIST? What does “PERFECT” even mean to you? How does perfectionism help you in your everyday life? Does it really serve you?
But the most intriguing question is “WHO decides what perfection is?”
That’s right, other imperfect people... just like us!!!
Perfection is a myth.
Perfectionism is just a belief. We think if we look perfect, if we live and act perfectly, we’ll be accepted and loved by others, we’ll avoid criticism, judgement and blame. It’s more about our insecurities, avoiding mistakes, our fear of failure and shame...
The “perfectionist mindset” is emotionally unhealthy, it means that you allow your own self-worth to depend on approval or acceptance from others!!! How self-destructive it can be! Our fear of imperfection can even lead us to life paralysis.
Don’t let others’ opinion be your motivation. Just do your best, be a better version of yourself every single day! Choose YOUR PERFECT!
